The Flu

Hi, everyone. I hope you're all doing well.

I'm sorry I haven't been around to visit you, but we've been hit with the flu this week. I haven't left home since Monday evening.
The teachers and over half of our students are sick, so we even had to cancel school two days this week. It's been many years since we had to close the school due to sickness!
We also had to cancel our church's mid-week service on Thursday.

I'm still not feeling too great, but at least I'm doing better than I was.

My husband started feeling bad a couple of days ago, but so far, Katie has not gotten sick. I sure hope it stays that way!
She's been such a wonderful help! She has cooked meals, washed dishes and clothes, swept, mopped, and just generally kept everything caught up. It has been a wonderful blessing. I'm so proud of her. :)

I'm looking forward to seeing what you've been doing, and I hope you all have a great weekend.

Take care,
Melanie

  11. That's a horrible thing to have happen ... but then (as Andre Crouch's song says) if I'd never had a problem I wouldn't know how God could solve them. Praying for all of you to be healed and strong for the Glory of God.

  12. Dear Melanie,

I am praying that today finds you feeling a bit stronger and more like yourself. What a darling daughter you have...attending to momma's needs and being such an incredible helper. You have taught her well. Seems as though everyone we know has been hit by this "flu" thing...I'm so thankful that spring is here! Perhaps now we can air things out...and get rid of all these germs!

Have a blessed Sunday, my dear!
