Hello, everyone!
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. We spent the week with our families, and had a very nice visit. Mom, Katie, and I did some shopping before Thanksgiving, and had fun just being together. We visited with my husband's family yesterday, so we didn't do any 'Black Friday' shopping. We stayed as far away from the mall as possible! What a shame to hear the stories of people fighting over the things on sale. :(
We had to leave Mom and Dad's early this morning to avoid most of the UVA/VT game traffic. We still ended up in some of it, but it wasn't too bad. We got home a little while ago. I washed some clothes, my husband made some tomato soup, then we started unpacking.
My giveaway package arrived today too, so that was a nice treat. I already have my little snowmen displayed.
They're so cute, and much nicer than these pictures show. Faye did a beautiful job on them. :-)
I hope to come around and visit soon. Hope you have a wonderful week ahead!
Take care,
~Melanie
Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving! I stayed away from the mall too- nothing is a bargain enough for that ;)
ReplyDeletehi sis... Happy Thanksgiving...
ReplyDeletebe blessed to bless many people in this Thanksgiving... ^^
love,
Novi.
So neat you could see your families this Thanksgiving, Melanie. I know you all enjoyed the time together!! I'm with you, I don't know why people would fight and cause trouble over possessions in a store on Black Friday. And the thing is the very thing they could have been fighting over might be forgotten a month after Christmas by the recipient. Just so sad!
ReplyDeleteI hope you rest up before you go back to work next week! Now on to Christmas! Christmas Eve is four weeks from today!! Wow!

Hi Melanie...sounds like a wonderful time for your family! We enjoyed a quiet day yesterday...no shopping for us! I hope that your week ahead is a lovely one! Hugs ♥ Teri
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you had a nice Thanksgiving! O.K., did he open a can or make the soup himself? Either way, it's nice to have him doing it for you!
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you had a lovely Thanksgiving with your family, and are safely home once again. I usually don't go out on 'Black Friday.' It's not worth it to me to do that! It was sad to hear about some of the stories from yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy a wonderful Sunday! :)
So glad you had some family time..
ReplyDeleteOur Thanksgiving was in October but we did have some black Friday sales here in Canada for the first time.. Nothing like what you folks have, though.. Yet.. grin..
Oh, so glad you received your parcel..
Blessings..
So glad you had a great Thanksgiving Melanie!
ReplyDeleteWe did not venture out on Black Friday and it was so sad to see the news of how people treat each other over "things".
What did you win! I'll have to go back and look. Love the new background. Glad your back home safe. Blessing Trish
ReplyDeleteNow Melanie, you had what I would call a GREAT Thanksgiving! You had time with your family! WONDERFUL way to say "Thanks, God"!

ReplyDeleteWe went to Ohio and just got home - driving in the pouring rain.
Now on to Christmas.

Your Thanksgiving sounds very nice! We had a good one, too...and also stayed away from the Black Friday craziness, too!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had a nice Thanksgiving :) We stay away from the mall on Black Friday too, and it's only about 2 miles from our house. We go out of our way to avoid it :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week!

Hi, Melanie, sounds like you had a lovely Thanksgiving. We spent Thanksgiving Day with my family. We usually stay home because my husband works retail and has to be at work super early on Black Friday. We have never actually shopped on Black Friday though. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a nice day.
