Falling Springs

I just thought I'd start your week off with a pretty picture we took a few years ago.
This is Falling Springs in Alleghany County, Virginia, not far from where I grew up.
I think it's beautiful with the mountains behind it.
Hope you all will have a wonderful week!

Melanie

  2. Oh, Melanie, this is georgous! And I love the perspective this shot was taken from. Was there any hiking or much walking to see it? Because we live in Central Virginia and I would like to see it if I can. Do you remember it's name? Thanks for this beautiful picture.

  10. That is a beautiful picture! I love the mountains. We are in the foothills of the Smokies in north GA and we love going to waterfalls. Maybe one day we'll make it to VA. I've never been there.

  11. Oh it is so pretty, peacful and cool looking! It is still really hot here. Thanks for stopping in and thanks for the prayers. I almost didn't write about the 'little apartment dwellers'. Cowboy thought people would think we were weird. But I think people think that anyway. And heck if that kitchen stuff works on them I wanted to let everyone know! LOL. Have a good week.
Thanks for your faithfulness and encouragement.
    Love,
    Sherry

  18. HI Melanie, thank you for your prayers. I sure could use them. My head hurts so bad and I get so weak. We had wanted to move up the hill which would take me out of the valley and put me into the Sierra Mountains, but we cannot get enough out of our house to put down on something else. So I guess I am stuck in the valley, but at least I am not wondering in the desert.
That is a gorgeous photo you posted. I have been all over the world but I have never bent o Virginia. I hear it's beautiful there. Perhaps my mom was there, she grew up in Ohio. I will have to ask her today.
So sorry about your husband's allergies, we have a lot in common with kidney stones and allergies. Eeeks! I pray all is well in your neck of the woods. Hugs
