Turn your eyes upon Jesus;Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace.
This simple little chorus has always been such a blessing to me.
It helps me to remember what's most important.
Hope you all will have a great week.
Melanie
Lovely Verse Have A Good Week. Trish
ReplyDeleteI have learned just how true those words are. God is so good. I love Him today more than ever before. Thanks for posting those wonderful words my friend!
ReplyDeleteLove that picture! I have a four year old spending eternity with Jesus, in my mind's eye this is the image I thought of when he went home with his Lord. I couldn't understand--only trust. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteamen to that, Melanie!! he's never let us down and never will let us down; fixing our eyes on him is definitely a good thing indeed!

Hi Melanie. I noticed you signed up to follow me, and we do seem to have quite a bit in common. I live in Virginia, as well. My husband is head deacon and subsitiute Pastor. I'm a deacon and run our church's 24/7 prayer and info line, which I record from home. I like your blog, the fireworks are spectacular, I wish I could get fireworks pictures that good. What is your church? I'm signing up to follow you, I hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteMelanie....I just love that song. And the picture you have posted is beautiful! I have seen that many times and it still puts a smile on my face!

ReplyDeleteHi Melanie I love that song. I snuck over to your blog via Susan's. That song reminds me of my days in church from my teen years. We still sing it now and then but I love that song, it makes me think of the good ole days in church. thanks for sharing it, I needed to read it today. Hugs

ReplyDeleteHi thanks for coming by today. Cowboy and I were talking about traveling today. We really want to go to Missouri to see our kids and grandkids. I have another wish. To someday go and visit all my friends. We went to Lexington, Virginia on a business trip one time. I really loved it. I would love to take another trip that way and see more of your state. Maybe some day.
ReplyDeletePraying you have a Blessed Thursday,
Sherry
I love this sweet chorus too. Our church now sings mostly praise songs, and although we have wonderful music, I do miss singing some of the old favorites.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Marcia
Yes I agree about better "left alone". This really bothered me because on the outside it looks like a good resource. But it is not. I didn't want to read it because I didn't want to get confused and I could really see how that could happen. I am struggling with the post. I think I should leave it up and to caution my readers about these kind of things. For me it was exactly like what the Bible says about false prophets. Sounds good from the outside but can really mess you up. Thanks so much for your comment. It made me feel better. I was prepared to probably get some flack about it. Anyway thanks for coming by. BTW I posted another review after that one. You might check it out. It was a good book your daughter might like it.
ReplyDeletegood morning. just wanted to say I appreciate your comment on my post re my husband Eddie. we never know what will happen in life and the suppot we have have a good weekend
