Keeping God's Promises Nearby

I've read and memorized many Bible verses over the years. They're underlined, highlighted, etc. in my Bible, but sometimes our minds get clouded with 'stuff' and we tend to forget the precious promises God has given us in His Word.

Like a lot of people, our family has to budget carefully to make sure we live within our means. I recently typed these verses and put them in the front of our budget notebook so I can readily see them and remember that God has promised to take care of His children! These verses help remind me of all the times God has provided for us, many times in unusual ways. :-)

Whatever you may be struggling with, I encourage you to find Bible verses that deal with your concern(s) and keep them handy. God's Word is a great source of comfort and encouragement.

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
~Romans 15:4

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
 ~II Timothy 3:16-17

I hope you're all doing well.
I appreciate you stopping by. :-)

Take care,

  3. I was cleaning up blog, deleting 2009 posts that were broken, all id just about finished

  4. What version does your church and school use Melanie?

  6. What a wonderful idea, dear Melanie! We put scripture verses on index cards...and post one a day on the fridge...a sure place that they will be seen and read often!
