More Snowy Days...

A cardinal waiting his turn for the feeder~

Cozy kitty Oreo...not a care in the world... *smile*

Re-reading another favorite book of mine, Stepping Heavenward ~ a fictional diary of the life of a girl named Katy living in the 1800s. It tells of the joys and struggles throughout her life, and how she strives to draw closer to God...highly recommend!

My husband started some pinto beans soaking in the crock pot last night. They're smelling soooo good! I'll make some cornbread this evening to go with them. ♥

Thanks for visiting today. I hope you're enjoying your day! :)

Take care,

  1. Oh, those beans look soooooo delicious, Melanie! Just perfect for a cold, snowy evening! Thankfully, we escaped a foot of snow predicted for our area, but fortunately went out to sea. It is bitter cold tonight...we are so grateful for a warm fire...

  2. Ummmmm your beans look good. It's cold and snowy here too. but I like winter. To everything there is a it will soon be gone.

    stay warm

  3. Dear Melanie ... such delicious comfort food. Perfect for a cold and snowy evening! We are extremely cold here ... our snow is gone now. We had some very warm days a few days back melting all of our snow. Your "little space" looks so pretty and it is so very cheery looking! Warmest Blessings ♥ Teri

  5. Oh, that looks so yummy on such a cold day! And, that book! We've had it in our house for over 10 years and I've never read it until December. I cannot believe I let this gem slip by me. But, I know God brought it to my attention at just the right time.
