Lawnmowers have come a long way! I know my husband is grateful! :-)
He tries to avoid mowing in the middle of the day, but in the summer, even the mornings and evenings are still quite warm and humid where we live.
When my husband goes out to mow, this is what I do. I get our little cooler and put in a sports drink like Gatorade or Powerade, a water bottle, and a washcloth. (He really likes the washcloth to cool his face and neck). Then I add some ice and water to keep it all cold. He can carry the cooler to wherever he is, and everything is nice and cold when he's ready to take a break!
Such a simple idea, but he really appreciates it!
I hope you're all having a good day. Thanks for stopping by.
Take care,
~Melanie

Awesome ideal.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea! I need to do this for Phil. I hope you are all doing well and had a great Easter.
ReplyDeleteHello girl! I must say that you must have a much bigger yard then we do! That is nice what you do for him.
ReplyDeletesandie
That is a good idea!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, those type mowers are still made. They are called barrel mowers. I think they are used for giving very manicured cuts. Also, they're useful for people with very small lawns, such as my in-laws. They "lawn" is about the size of a small swimming pool. They just didn't need a power mower, and the barrel style cuts more evenly than a weed whacker would.
Very "cool"idea Melanie. So nice of you to stop by and visit me to say hello. I hope all is well with you and your family too! XO
ReplyDeleteGood Morning, Melanie! I've been playing "catch-up" on all the lives of my friends! What a wonderful idea...and so sweet of you! I'm sure that Lee appreciates this with all his heart...

What a wonderful, thoughtful way to bless your husband, Melanie! This is something I am definitely going to try to start doing for my husband. We have two acres, and bless his dear heart, it is so hard on him to keep it up. This will make things more bearable for him. I loved getting to know you today!! That is SO neat that you love WV mountains, too. I would love to discuss it more with you and keep in touch. Could you email me via my online contact form, then I will email you back? I couldn't find a way to contact you here. I hope to hear from you. God bless you and keep you in His care. So thankful to have found your blog. It is so good to meet those of kindred spirit and like mind!!
